Bullying is a type of abuse that generally occurs amongst peers. It can happen in person, online, or through texting. It involves one person, or a group of people, targeting an individual because you may be different, or they may be jealous of you.  Their negative actions or behaviour is intended to make someone feel bad and to isolate them from a group.  Most schools now have policies in place to address bullying and there is a lot of information available online to help you know what to do if your child or young person is being bullied.  Alternatively you can talk to one of our youth workers who can help you find some strategies to help your child deal with the bullies.
